In regard to Covid-19 response, SBACO with the support of the UNFPA, managed to distribute 250 dignity kits to Galkayo IDPs. SBACO selected the most vulnerable women to benefit the kits. The distribution was successful and community committees supported the distribution. The kits consist of Dignity kits – content of 1kit:
Packet of sanitary towels of ultra slim size, each packet containing 10 napkins; Individual bar of toilet soap 110 grams weight; Somali Diric (Shiid) 3.5 yard; 100% cotton female underwear Full brief panties of medium/large size); Durable medium size Hair comb; Headscarf (Shalmad) 1.9X1.4 M; Standard toothpaste 120 ml; Manual Toothbrush for 3 months use; Body lotion /rubbing oil (320ml suitable for all skin types; Laundry/washing Soap; Female Petticoats (Gorgorat); Shawls (Garbasar); Baby-safe antibacterial wipes; Antibacterial Surface cleaning solution 400 ml in a bottle; Hand-rub – Alcohol based hand sanitizer (Isopropyl 70% solution); Surgical Face masks.
